Reaching Out to the Needy – A Corporate Social Responsibility Outreach by ECM Terminals Limited

Thursday 21st January, 2021 was a day of giving gratitude to God as ECM Terminals Limited visited Pope Jon Paul II Home for the Poor, Needy & Aged and Blessed Hope & Faith Foster Home in Calabar.

These visits even though an annual tradition by ECM Terminals Limited, was another avenue to give back to our immediate community as well as putting smiles on the faces of these vulnerable citizens of the society.

At Pope Jon Paul II Home for the Poor, Needy & Aged, the management of ECM Terminals Limited were welcomed by the Reverend Sister in charge while a volunteer was on hand to receive the management team when they arrived the Blessed Hope & Faith Foster Home Calabar. The Blessed Hope & Faith Foster Home Calabar was created in 1978 to provide care and protection for abandoned kids, orphans and the destitute picked from the streets or brought in by single parents.

ECM Terminals Limited donated food stuffs, gifts and cash items to these homes. A health and safety lecture on the various preventive measures aimed at mitigating the spread of the dreadful COVID-19 was also carried out to educate residents of both homes of the danger of the raging pandemic.
