ECM Terminals Limited

ECM Terminals Limited Calabar is a member of Ecomarine Group and is the concessionaire of the Calabar Port Terminal ‘B’ (Nigeria’s main Eastern Port) with a 30 years concession from the Nigerian Port Authority. 

We are an integrated maritime service and logistics provider in Nigeria with a head office in Lagos Nigeria. ECM Terminals Limited commenced operations in Calabar on 1st August 2007.

    Our Achievements

    2006 ECM Terminals Limited bided for the concession of Terminal B of Calabar Free Port from the Nigerian Ports Authority under the port privatization program of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
    2007 ECM Terminals Limited took over the management of Terminal B of Calabar Free Port on the 1st of August 2007.
    2007 ECM Terminals Limited received her first vessel call when MV Cape York called the terminal on the 3rd of August 2007 with 12,500 metric tons of wheat in bulk. This was closely followed with the call of MV Trade Wind laden with 6,001 metric tons on the 5 th August 2007 to mark the beginning of operations of Terminal B of Calabar Free Port as a concessioned port under the management of ECM Terminals Limited.
    2008 ECM Terminals Limited received her hundredth vessel call on the 28th July 2008 when MT Timat I called the terminal with 5,024 metric tons of liquid bulk.
    2008 ECM Terminals Limited reached the one millionth mark in cargo handled at the terminal with the arrival of MV Ocean Wind with 15,000 metric tons of wheat in bulk on the 24th of December 2008.
    2011 ECM Terminals Limited reached the five millionth mark in cargo handled at the terminal with the arrival of MV Desert Unity with 14,200 metric tons of wheat in bulk on the 15th of December 2011.
    2013 African Government Corporate Award - Winner African Quality Management Service Award for Port and Terminals Operation and Administration presented to ECM Terminals Limited Calabar by the Instituted for Government Research Leadership Technology.
    2014 Award presented to ECM Terminals Limited Calabar by Marine Gulf Shipping Agency Limited as the Most Friendly and Innovating Terminal Operator of the year.
    2016 ECM Terminals Limited reached the ten millionth mark in cargo handled at the terminal with the arrival of MV Desert Calm with 15,000 metric tons of wheat in bulk on the 8th of October 2016.
    2016 ECM Terminals Limited obtained her ISO 9001:2015 certification on the 22nd November 2016.
    2017 ECM Terminals Limited celebrated ten years as concessionaires of Terminal B of Calabar Free Port on the 1 st of August 2017.
    2019 ECM Terminals Limited is a process driven company certified under ISO 9001:2015. This certification was renewed for another two years in November 2019.
